Excerpt:

The State Coroner is investigating how Melbourne man Daniel “Danny” Richards died in police custody, with a witness saying that “I can’t breathe” was one of the last things he said.

Mr Richards died after a physical altercation with up to four police officers who had arrived at his mother’s home in Glen Waverley on June 24 last year to support a mental health crisis assessment and treatment (CAT) team.
